Raspberry Pi Official Annual 2027 is out now!

We at Raspberry Pi Official Magazine are proud to announce our Raspberry Pi Official Annual 2027, the first official annual in our new line of books!
This new book draws on the legacy of the Official Raspberry Pi Handbook and even before that the Official Raspberry Pi Projects Book, and is again a showcase of some of the astounding projects the community has created over the last year and change.
Some highlights from the over 200 pages of Raspberry Pi goodness include Whispering Wires – a telephone that allows you to get poetry read to you when you pick up the receiver. Maker Théo Z V Champion was inspired by people being curious by rotary telephones at vintage markets, and wondered how people would react if something had actually spoken to them when they used it.
There’s also Operation Pico, a fun take on the Hasbro boardgame created with a Raspberry Pi Pico. Not only does this recreate the original that you can play to your hearts content, it’s also a great exercise in CAD, carpentry, electronics, and painting! It’s a game you can create yourself.

Super Pico FX
Did you know the original DOOM came out on the SNES? It was quite a limited port compared to the PC version however for its 30th anniversary Limited Run games teamed up with Randal Linden, the original porter, to give it another shot. This time the cartridge came with much improved hardware courtesy of Raspberry Pi Pico, allowing it to run smoother and even have extra levels added.
Pepper Pi is an illusion by the team at Veeb, or at least, it uses an illusory technique popularised by the Victorians known as Pepper’s Ghost. This allows for a Raspberry Pi to create ghostly holographic projections on a glass dome thanks to some mirrors and clever video editing.

Even more!
These and many other projects are joined by guides on creating media servers and hacking robot arms, along with reviews on essential Raspberry Pi hardware, all crammed into over 200 pages.
You can get the new Raspberry Pi Official Annual 2027 right now in physical shops for £14, and from our online store where it’s currently on a introductory offer of just £7. It makes a great stocking stuffer too we think.
Rob is amazing. He’s also the Features Editor of Raspberry Pi Official Magazine, a hobbyist maker, cosplayer, comic book writer, and extremely modest.

Some projects seem more like magic to us than anything else; here’s one of them. This robot by Italian engineer/magician Andrea Favero uses a mirror to widen the field of vision of a Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3, the input from which is processed by Raspberry Pi 4 and used to control three legs to […]
